VACANCIES

We are delighted to offer the following roles in Sutton upon Derwent C.E. Primary school to start as soon as possible:

1:1 Teaching Assistant, supporting a child with additional needs in Class 4.

 We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate General Teaching Assistant, to support a child with additional needs, following the direction of the Class Teacher.

This will be based on a temporary contract, until 31/08/2026. This will be working 3½ days per week, term time only Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-12pm and 1pm-3.30pm and Thursday afternoon 1pm-3.30pm

Kitchen and Midday Assistant 

Applications are invited for the following two posts which will be combined.

Kitchen Assistant: Required to work 5 hours per week, 11.30am – 12.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only. You will need to be a team player who is flexible and that can work to a high standard without supervision, and be willing to attend necessary food hygiene and first aid courses.

Duties to include:

• Preparing the dining area
• Serve lunches to pupils and staff
• Assist in washing crockery, cutlery and serving utensils
• Maintaining a hygienic, safe and pleasant environment for pupils and staff

Midday Supervisory Assistant: Required to work 2.5 hours per week, 12.30pm-1pm Monday to Friday, term time only.  To provide effective lunchtime supervision, ensuring that the well-being and health and safety of students is maintained. Previous experience working in an education environment or experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant will be expected to undertake both roles.
