KIND WORDS ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

"We absolutely love our school and feel extremely lucky to be part of the school family. Thank you for all of the things that you do to make school such an exciting , happy place to be."

Parent

"Fantastic school. I feel privileged my child can attend such a wonderful village school."

Parent

"We love Sutton School and are delighted we made the choice to send our son. We did look around various other schools, but they didn't hold a candle to the care he received during his visit to Sutton. As soon as we arrived, Emma took his hand and guided him through school. She addressed him, not us as did all the staff he encountered. For us, that was decision made!"

Parent

"Our daughter is having a great time in nursery. All the teaching staff are kind and enthusiastic, and she can't wait to get there in a morning. I feel they have struck a good balance between teaching(i.e. phonics and numbers) and allowing the children the children to explore through play. The outdoor space and access to activities like gardening is also a real bonus, which many other school's don't have."

Parent

"We would wholeheartedly recommend Sutton to any prospective parent."

Parent

"My child is very happy in school. She is being supported and her teachers know her well. She has good friends and is learning so much. She has a good relationship with all the staff and feels supported by everyone."

Parent

"Our son absolutely loves school. The pastoral care he receives is second to none and all of the staff he works with know him exceptionally well. They take the time to ask him about things he does at home and always encourages him to be his imaginative self!"

Parent

"We receive daily updates, even if uploaded in bulk, through tapestry. Mrs. Sellers does a fabulous job of keeping us updated, even on a Friday when she leads the class and has her hands full, I'm sure."

Parent

"I find every member of staff I come across, from the office, the teachers and teaching assistants to the kitchen and after school staff to be most considerate people, who genuinely care about our children and are so nurturing with them and I cannot thank them enough. Both girls always want to go to school and often beg to stay longer in after school club (all I can imagine is that it is more fun there than at home)."

Parent

"Mr Holtby, I just wanted to say that I think you are doing a fantastic job and have already made such a positive impact at school. I wish you'd been there for the last 7 years, but we've ended on a high with yourself and Mrs Bedford! So a big thank you from son and us and very best wishes for the future."

Response to Covid-19 Pandemic

"Dear school staff, I'd just like to say thank you for everything you've done for our three children during this difficult time. We do realise just how challenging it is to deliver socially distanced teaching and online learning at he same time. We have finally found a rhythm for home schooling, and it has been good to have such encouraging and supportive comments on SeeSaw."

Parent

"I think you have all had an incredibly difficult year delivering an education and keeping everyone safe and I think you've done a great job with as little disruption to the children as possible."

Parent

"Hi I'd just like to say a massive thanks to all the staff and volunteers at the school for their efforts over the past year in keeping our children happy, safe and gainfully educated, in what have been extremely challenging and unique circumstances!  At times, it must have seemed like a thankless task to keep schools open, which was guaranteed to please many, whilst causing concern in others, so thank you for persevering and doing it all whilst still managing to keep a smile on your faces (certainly in front of the children and parents - I'm sure you've all had your moments!!)."

Parent

"I think you have all had an incredibly difficult year delivering an education and keeping everyone feel safe and I think you've all done a great job with as little disruption to the children as possible."

Parent

"Thank you to the whole staff team for mobilising so quickly and efficiently, I am very grateful mostly to the teachers in school! But I am very impressed with the home learning offer. Most of all, I appreciate the kind and balanced messages from Mrs Stephenson on SeeSaw that remind us of the bigger picture in all of this. Many thanks to all."

Parent

"Mr Holtby, I just wanted to say thank you for acting so prompt on the school closure situation. My child, along with other children that are attending school, are treated like a normal school day (if that makes sense); Mrs Bedford has been amazing and I just wanted to share that with you. So many people like to say and share when things aren't going well and I wanted to share that your team you have are amazing! Stay safe and have a good weekend."
